Jeff Tse, Executive Director JTCW
Jeff spent the first half of his youth in Hong Kong, near his grandparents, Joseph and Grace. When his family left Hong Kong for New York, his grandparents were suddenly an ocean away, but they remained important figures his life. Many years later, when it became clear that Joseph would pass, he asked that his family carry on his philanthropic work. Jeff took on that challenge by attending a year long Philanthropy Workshop through the Rockefeller Center, in order to better serve his grandfather’s legacy. The workshop not only deepened his passion for his work with JTCW, it was also the beginning of his personal philanthropic efforts in Soweto, South Africa, where he funded the building of an AIDS orphanage. In addition to his work with JTCW, Jeff has developed a career as a photographer.

Monique Dubois, Director JTCW
Motivated from a young age to help those in need, Monique has volunteered for a variety of causes throughout her life, at home and abroad, from an AIDS food bank to half a dozen health clinics for the poor. A firm believer in working for both outcomes and ideals, she has swung a hammer for Habitat for Humanity and knocked on doors in three states for Barack Obama. Her work at Joseph Tse Charitable Works is the perfect melding of her progressive beliefs with real world solutions. Monique has managed JTCW for nearly a decade, and considers it a gift that her work is grounded in both compassion and innovation. She takes great inspiration from her involvement with the non-profits JTCW funds, and her energies are constantly renewed by their dedication and creativity in solving some of the world’s toughest problems.

“Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel.”
